The MKH60-P48 is an RF Super-Cardioid/Lobe (shortgun) Condenser 48V Phantom Powered Microphone, with switchable -10 dB pad, switchable low cut filter (-5 dB @ 100 Hz) and high frequency boost (+5 dB @ 10 Hz).
The MKH 60 is a lightweight short gun microphone. It is versatile and easy to handle and its superb lateral sound muting makes it an excellent choice for film and reporting applications. Its high degree of directivity ensures high sound quality for distance applications. MKH Series microphones require external power for operation, supplied by input equipment (mixer, recorder, etc.) or by one of several accessory power supplies offered. Microphones are weather-resistant, and therefore ideal for location recording in any environment. All MKH models are low-impedance, balanced output, terminating in a standard 3-pin XLR connector (5-pin XLR on MKH418S).
- Extremely low inherent self-noise
- High sensitivity
- High directivity throughout the whole frequency range
- Transformerless and fully floating balanced output
- Infra-sonic cut-off filter

The Rycote Softie is a slip-on open-cell foam windshield with integral fur cover. The Softie will reduce wind-noise up to 40 dB and is the standard world wide in the broadcast industry. Softie windshields are available in a large range of sizes to fit most popular shotgun microphones.
Both the acoustic foam and synthetic fur are made from materials which are specially designed and manufactured for the purpose, and as a result offers very good wind-noise reduction without any adverse effect on High-Frequency. In addition the foam is not susceptible to UV or moisture damage, giving this product great longevity.
Advanced materials, adhesives and assembly techniques all combine to make the Softie an extremely tough product that provides excellent wind protection in the harshest of environments.
The RØDE PG2 Pistol Grip Shock Mount is designed to reduce handling noise when recording with shotgun microphones. It supports microphones with a diameter of 19-20mm or 21-22.5mm using the supplied interchangeable mounts, and a handy release lever on the mount allows for quick and easy adjustment of the microphone angle.
Cable management is an integral design feature of the PG2 pistol grip, with the cable running through the handle assembly to minimise any handling noise or clutter. Additional cable security is provided on either side of the rubber shock mount. The PG2 can be operated by hand or attached to a boompole via the 3/8" thread attachment at the base.
