Small diaphragm true condenser microphone with super cardioid characteristic
This true condenser microphone is characterized by enormous versatility due to its tonal neutrality and careful construction. The features of the MC 950 include the large transmission range of 40 - 20,000 Hz and a noise margin of 72 dB. The MC 950 is ideal as a main and support microphone for the removal of choir, piano / grand piano, organ, orchestra and most solo instruments. The switchable pre-attenuation of 15 dB makes it ideal for use at very high sound levels. The switchable 6 dB / octave cut-off below 250 Hz compensates for the proximity effect.
Together with the windscreen WS101, the MC 950 can be used as a microphone for speech and singing. The MC 950 operates on a phantom power of 11 - 52 V, so it can be used on almost every microphone preamplifier in the studio and live area as well as in installations. Due to its largely frequency-independent supercardioid characteristic, the MC 950 has an excellent directivity in conjunction with a high back extinction. Not only does it become a top-of-the-line tool in the studio, but it also enables use in public address applications where excellent sound and maximum feedback safety are required.
